It seems fitting that when an organization of auctioneers wants to sell one of its publications, it turns to the auction format. The National Auctioneers Association (NAA) announced the sale of its publication, "Auction World." The publication will be sold through a "modified sealed bid" auction, with bids due July 30, 2008. The top three bidders will participate in a live, online auction onNAAlive.com on July 31, 2008.
The NAA will continue to publish a glossy monthly publication called "The Auctioneer," which is printed in full color and delivered by mail to auctioneer members of the Association as part of their dues programming.
The NAA bought Auction World 7 years ago when it was a subscription-based newspaper. At the time the NAA switched it over from a paid subscription to a member benefit newspaper delivered free to all members.
